𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝟲 𝗺𝗼𝘀𝘁 𝗶𝗺𝗽𝗿𝗲𝘀𝘀𝗶𝘃𝗲 𝘀𝗲𝗮𝘀𝗼𝗻𝘀 𝗼𝗳 𝗠𝗮𝗻 𝗨𝘁𝗱 𝗮𝗳𝘁𝗲𝗿 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗔𝗹𝗲𝘅 𝗙𝗲𝗿𝗴𝘂𝘀𝗼𝗻 𝗲𝗿𝗮

Let’s review the successful seasons of the Red Devils of Manchester after Sir Alex Ferguson retired.

1. Impressive score (2017/2018)
Jose Mourinho had a successful second season (2017/2018) with Man United. At the end of the year, the Red Devils reached 81 points, the highest score since the era of former coach Sir Alex Ferguson.

2.The first season of Erik ten Hag (2022/2023)
The Dutch coach is bringing a new look to Man United. Ten Hag is determined to build a disciplined foundation for the whole team, while firmly disciplining Cristiano Ronaldo and Marcus Rashford internally.

Ten Hag led Man United to win the Carabao Cup.

Man United became more united. The playing style and identity gradually took shape. That was seen as a foundation for the team at Old Trafford to win the Carabao Cup championship.
Ten Hag also helped Man United reach the FA Cup final, and stood a chance to finish the season in the top 4 of the Premier League.

3. Two championship titles under Mourinho (2016/2017)
Man United finished sixth in the 2016/2017 Premier League. The signings of Paul Pogba and Zlatan Ibrahimovic left a strong impression. The Red Devils were not successful in the domestic league but were lucky in the cup compns.etitio

Mourinho won the Europa League title.

Man United won the Carabao Cup thanks to Ibrahimovic’s decisive goal. Thopa League title.e Red Devils became the champions of the Europa League after a 2-0 victory over Ajax, thereby securing a place in the Champions League next season.

4. Controversial season (2020/2021)
Ole Gunnar Solskjær helped Man United finish second in the 2020/2021 Premier League. The Red Devils also reached the Europa League final before losing to Villarreal after a nerve-wracking penalty shootout.
This was considered a successful season for Man United. However, Ole’s team still suffered a heavy defeat of 1-6 to Tottenham Hotspur, and were eliminated from the Champions League group stage.

5. Louis van Gaal’s first season (2014/2015)
After a dreary period under David Moyes, Man United was expected to have a new lease of life when Louis van Gaal arrived at Old Trafford. The Dutch coach had an impressive CV with successes in the football leagues of Spain, Germany, and the Netherlands.

Van Gaal led Man United and helped the Netherlands national team to third place in the 2014 World Cup, providing a solid foundation for United fans to have confidence in a new era for their team.

Man United had a lacklustre start under Van Gaal, but things gradually improved. The team had a run of 6 consecutive wins out of 10 unbeaten matches from October to January. At the end of the season, Man United finished fourth with 70 points after 38 matches.

6. The emergence of Bruno Fernandes (2019/2020)
Fernandes’ arrival at Old Trafford brought optimism at a time when Man United was struggling. Two draws against Southampton and Wolves, as well as losses to Crystal Palace, West Ham, Newcastle United, and Bournemouth, put the Red Devils in a precarious situation.

Fernandes brings a fresh, creative breeze to the style of the Red Devils. At the end of the season, Man United finished 3rd overall after Liverpool and Man City.
